I started using the computer for my creations in the early 2000' as I was already addicted to Photoshop, (I also worked as an illustrator at this period). But at the time, I didn't pay attention to the size of my creation, which I know now is important. (It has to be huge.)
Anyway, years later, I found a new way of creating Pop art images by scanning one of my drawing and adding colors on the computer.
By clicking on the image you will see a higher definition.
Here I found a fantastic picture of actress Lana Turner in a book "Hollywood in Kodachrome" and I draw it, as I wanted to represent the essence of the original Hollywood' glamour.
I also used a sketch of a rose that I did before.
About the coloring, I was ready to dress her in flashy colors and blond hair, but it turns out that it looks better with ginger hair... I intentionally misplaced the coloring to create an effect, you can see all the layers in my workshop' image below.
At the end I added the sentence "Strike a pose" because I like my art to be a mix of messages and images. I hope you like the final result, I will probably add this creation on my Society6 page soon.
